Moving Frequently Asked Questions

Where is MXED GREENS moving to?

MXED GREENS is moving from a retail storefront space in Northampton's Maplewood Shops, to a studio space in Easthampton's Paragon Arts and Industry Building. It's on the same street as Eastworks, and between the Keystone Building and Mill 180!

When will the new studio space open?

There's a lot of work we need to do to clean, paint, move, and set up, and we appreciate your patience during the transition. The online shop will stay open - orders to be shipped we'll mail out weekly, and orders for local pickup we will email you when they are ready for pickup at the studio in November.

Soft launch for first day re-opening: Sat 11/11 1-5pm!

Open studio hours this week: Thurs 11/16 3-6pm, Sat 11/18 12-5pm

When is MXED GREENS moving?
The leases turn over on November 1st, so the last day the storefront will be open is Saturday, October 21st! If we need to have additional closed dates, we'll make sure to post those on our instagram stories and on shop’s door when we can, so make sure to follow along for those updates on ig here and see question above for current weekly hours. The new studio space will open to the public in early November!

Is MXED GREENS having a moving sale?
YES! We did this last time we moved and we are doing it again ~ we are downsizing our retail inventory with the move, so help us clear the shelves and make some necessary funds for the transition! There will be no new restocks during this time, so if there's anything you've had your eye on, now's your chance!
Select products are 20% off now until we move, both in store and online! If you’re shopping online for shipping or local pickup, you can find all sale items HERE and use the code MOVE20 for 20% off through Sat 10/21. Please pick up any outstanding online orders by this date!

Why isn’t everything on sale?
As a small business, our margins are pretty tight, so while having a sale is really helpful for a boost in orders and income, it means we make only a small percentage of profits on retail items for which 50-60% of the retail price is going to the maker. Many of our products are priced on a sliding scale for economic accessibility, so these don’t get the overall price cut of this moving sale. Some products are brand new on the shelves or stocked on consignment, so to be fair to our makers and herbalists, those aren’t on sale either. If you have questions about which specific items we’ll restock after the move, just ask us! That being said, we have many herbal products and zines on SALE and LAST CHANCE, so get your paws on them before they sell out forever!

Will there be any retail herbal products in the new space?
YES! Don’t worry, we’re not closing, and will still be a community apothecary and education space in Western Mass. The gorgeous small-scale-farmed herbs that we stock will still be available, as will all the sliding scale tinctures and glycerites. We will still be stocking some of your fave products from other makers and the zine library lounge is going to be so cute!
We are in the process of figuring out many logistics, but expect that starting in November in the new studio, there will be 1-2 days per week for open apothecary, picking up orders, and in-person shopping, 1-2 days dedicated to the clinical consultations, and an expanded schedule of classes, pop-up events and collaborations!

What’s the accessibility of the new space?
The new MXED GREENS studio space is located in the Paragon Building of the Pleasant Street mill buildings in Easthampton, between the Keystone Building and Mill 180 East. The doors to Paragon are all wheelchair accessible on the ground floor, on the front and back sides of the building. Our studio is on the 2nd floor, reachable by 1 flight of stairs or the freight elevator and a short hallway to our doors. There is a non-ADA, wheelchair accessible, non-gendered bathroom directly across the hallway from our studio. We will post more detailed information like directions, number of stairs, and doorway widths and floor lips by the time we open! MXED GREENS will continue to require face masks for everyone in our space, with KN95, N95 or equivalent respirator masks required for workshops and classes. Event participants will continue to receive detailed access notes via email before each event.

Many more details and updates coming in November's newsletter and on instagram, stay tuned 🐛
