Tinctures are plant extracts made with alcohol. Our extracts are generally low alcohol because we find they taste better and are easier to take! There are of course exceptions for plants whose constituents require a higher percentage of alcohol to be extracted.
Glycerites are alcohol free preparations of herbs extracted into vegetable glycerine. These generally taste very sweet, but will not cause sudden fluctuations in blood glucose in the way that traditional sugars do.
