Tues March 12th 2024, 6:30-9pm, online on Zoom
I grew up on the coast, and seaweed is one of my forever loves. I've spent my life in relationship with these plants, from childhood enchantment with the fish living in sargassum flats, to exploring the rocky tidepools of the atlantic coast, to falling in love with the giant kelps of the pacific.
I have learned and continue to learn so much from these plants who live between the tides, and I'd love to share some that with you.
In this workshop, we'll dive into seaweed ecology, culinary + medicinal uses of various types of seaweed, and some myth and magic of these watery beings.
We spend a lot of time getting to know individual land plants' personalities and medicine, and I'd love for you to meet seaweed in the same way. My intention is that you come away with a new appreciation for seaweed, as well as practical ways that you can incorporate their medicine into your life.
